The Fee & Stemwedel Company was established in Chicago in 1930 by Albert Stemwedel and Dick Fee, making barometers and thermometers for the home market under the trade name Airguide. In 1956 Dick Fee sold his interest in the company and the name was changed to Airguide Instrument Company.
