Compass card with eight winds complete with a goniometric circle. To better show it on a desk, it can be mounted on a custom-made wooden and brass base. Compass diameter 12 cm, wooden board width 17 cm, box measure 15x15 cm h 8. Excellent working condition.
The Greeks and the Romans didn’t know the possibility to use magnetic fields for orient, but this possibility probably was known by the Chinese people: about in 2600 B.C.
