Sphere of transparent celluloid and covered with paper and base of turned brass and brass complete with the meridian circle. Some signs of use, excellent readability. The first known globe is attributed by Strabo, historian and geographer, to Cratete from Mallo (about 150 B.C.). First globes, in early XVI century, were made because of geographical explorations and they were used for didactic uses in courts and colleges, then in universities and high schools. In the XIX century, because of trade, scholastic obligation and wishes to know far countries, the old method to make globes was changed in the new technique of lithography that made possible to print and to update maps that following new discoveries became old very quickly.

The legislative decree n. 42/2004 stipulates that who sells works of art or historical and archaeological items has the obligation to deliver to the purchaser the documents attesting to the authenticity of the object, or at least to submit the documents relating to the probable attribution and origin. Antik Arte & Scienza provides an expertise (as warranty) that contains a description, period and assignment or the author, if known, of the item.

Other countries: delivering on the average in 5 weekdays; custom duties charged to the buyer.
