Cleat is the nautical term used to indicate a fixed device for securing a rope or rope or cable. The most traditional model consists of a flat surface in contact with the boat from which one or more shorter rods protrude vertically, from which, parallel to the base plate, two pointed or flared ends are fixed which serve to prevent the cable from coming out.
Bitta is the nautical term used to indicate a low and sturdy column, found on the decks of boats, to which mooring cables are tied or wrapped.
