Huntington in the Clerk’s Office of the District Court of the United States for the Southern District of New York". The plate shows the orbit of the Moon and the various distances of the planets from the Sun, as well as a small table of the orbits and ellipticals of the primary planets. Good condition, non-coeval frame, some stains and some small cracks. With frame 81.8 x 49.8 cm - 32.2x16.4 inches, thickness 1.5 cm - 0.59 inches.

1701100380Code 7714 TellurioTellurio, or mechanical/electrical model representative of the solar system, made of metal with green and gray hammered painting, terrestrial globe in lithographed tin, Moon in plastic material and metal base ballasted with lead and sand weights. Measures cm 84x24x38 - inches 33x9.5x15. The instrument was created in the 1950s by the Italian Phiwe of Turin and marketed by the La Lucerna company via Nino Guerrini 7 Cuneo, complete with the original booklet in Italian with instructions for use. The Tellurio is powered by electricity with a 220 Volt bulb that simulates sunlight, while the clockwork mechanism with belt and pulleys works with two electric motors powered by two 4.5 volt batteries. The instrument shows and simulates the rotation and revolution movements of the Earth, the position of the Earth with respect to the Sun in the various seasons, the movements of the Moon around the Earth, the lunar phases and the eclipses of the Moon and the Sun.

In good condition, the eyepiece and missing lens replaced. Measurements 78x54 cm – 30.7x21.2 inches, focal diameter 11.5 cm – 4.5 inches. €8500 dibs 15000 It is an instrument equipped with two concave mirrors, the primary mirror collects the light and makes it converge towards a focus placed in front of the secondary mirror; in turn the secondary mirror brings the light back towards the primary mirror, which has a hole in the center containing the eyepiece.
